In July 2021, Fastic reached 15m downloads, growing at a rapid pace. Every day several thousand people strive to improve their lives by starting their intermittent fasting journey.

Context

Intermittent fasting provides a convenient and accessible eating pattern for those who want to lose weight or maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Challenge

Educate people on the value of IF, decrease the churn rate between onboarding steps and increase the ARPNU in several markets.

Constraints

Delivering a design that could compete with that of top-players on the market in a very short amount of time with limited resources.

Key Decisions

Going into designing this flow, I relied on several key aspects that contributed to its success. Frictionless interaction, clear communication and in-context educational content laid the foundation for us to learn more about our users and provide them with a transparent, trustworthy and easy-to-use onboarding.
